Located 10 kilometres from Kannur, Waddle World - Kattampally Kayaking Centre, is the first such initiative under the State Tourism Department. The kayaking centre is fully equipped with 30 kayaking units including single kayaks, double kayaks, pedal boats for children, water taxis and inflatable boats, for tourists and adventure sports buffs.
The floating walkway is another attraction. Children have a separate zone with special rides. A kayaking training academy is being set up in association with Goa National Institute of Water Sports. It will include certificate courses for kayaking, life-saving techniques and Olympics training. The centre has a zero-waste policy.
